MG M9 EV LAUNCH: WHAT TO EXPECT

  • First-class luxury limousine
  • MG Select outlet exclusive

Introduction

JSW MG Motor India showcased the M9 earlier this year at the Bharat Mobility Expo 2025. This MPV was christened from the Mifa 9 showcased at the earlier Expo. In 2025, the upcoming MG M9 will be sold exclusively through the brand's 'Select' premium outlets. Here's what we can expect upon its launch.

Exterior

The MG M9 is a huge limousine built on a substantial footprint. It measures 5,270mm in length, 2,000mm in width, 1,840mm in height, and has a 3,200mm long wheelbase. It's the latter that ensures ample space across all three rows. The boxy shape of the MPV is still proportionate and keeps the styling minimal without over-the-top chrome elements.

Interior

The M9 will be available in six- and seven-seater configurations. Besides, it is called the 'Presidential Limousine', which emphasises the fact that it is engineered to offer first-class comfort and advanced features. The biggest USP is the second row with Presidential seats, which get a 16-way adjustment, eight massage modes, ventilation, and heating. Prospective buyers can go for a cognac brown interior or a pure black one, depending on their taste.

Other highlights include a floating central console, 64-colour ambient lighting system, 12-speaker premium sound setup, fold-out ottoman seats, rear entertainment screens, three-zone climate control, and a dual yacht-style panoramic sunroof. On the safety front, the M9 boasts Level 2 ADAS, seven airbags, electronic stability control, parking sensors, and a 360-degree camera.

Powertrain

The MG M9 solely gets an electric drivetrain and comes equipped with a 90kWh lithium battery. It is paired with a front-wheel-drive motor, producing 245bhp and 350Nm torque. Offering a WLTP-certified range of 430km and support for fast charging, the battery can go from 30 to 80 per cent in just 30 minutes.

Launch Timeline

The carmaker has already opened the M9’s bookings officially in India. The ultra-luxurious all-electric limousine can be reserved at a booking amount of Rs. 51,000 through the brand's premium channel, MG Select. We expect the launch to happen in the coming weeks, along with the price announcement, post which, deliveries are also expected to begin.
