Tata Motors recently launched the Curvv EV Dark Edition in India at Rs. 22.24 lakh (ex-showroom). This special edition sits at the top of the Curvv EV's variant line-up, and will be available in limited numbers. The carmaker hasn't specified the number of Dark Edition models it plans to build. However, it looks like an interesting proposition with dark treatment, and here's a picture gallery detailing the changes.

The Curvv EV Dark Edition is based on the fully loaded top-spec Empowered+ A variants that get all the bells and whistles. The following are the unique elements that command a price increment.

A typical dark exterior is thanks to the black shade. This is complemented by a dark chrome grille, body mouldings, and dark chrome badges, replacing the standard shiny chrome bits.

The special edition rides on blacked-out wheels with no silver trims offered. However, looking closely, one will notice that the EV badges continue to be in blue.

Inside, the Curvv Dark Edition gets a black colour scheme. The upholstery is also in black, along with the seats, with contrasting details and dark badges.

A black treatment can be seen on the dashboard, door pads, centre console, roof-liner, and other areas. Moreover, standard chrome highlights are replaced with dark chrome, which looks tasteful.

As it's based on the Empowered+ A trim, the EV boasts best-in-segment features like Level 2 ADAS, front-row ventilated seats, panoramic sunroof, wireless smartphone charging, and a digital cockpit.

Powertrain

The Tata Curvv EV Dark Edition as seen with other Tata models, is a purely cosmetic package, and no mechanical changes have been made to it. As it's positioned above the Empowered+ A trim, it only comes equipped with the larger 55kWh battery pack. The claimed range is 502km on a single charge (MIDC), whereas the single electric motor makes 165bhp and 215Nm torque.
